In order to have a successful and enjoyable experience on the 'Net, you will need some tools, utilities and other software... I have collected some of the most common ones here in an attempt to make things as easy as possible for the average user to get started...or for the more advanced user to coem back to as a reference when rebuildign a system

Please note that you should never have to pay for any of the required software that I link to from here, as I link to the freeware or shareware versions. You are off course welcome to buy the full packages, but that is not required to view the content published on the web.

I will mark the items on this site with one one of three icons:

- Items I believe everyone should have installed on their system. Note that it's important to also check periodically (via the website or any built in update function) if there's a new version, otherwise you may not be able to use the full functionality

- Items I believe everyone should install, but that are not critical.

- Items that are important and a good value, but that not everyone may want to install. They may be a little harder to configure, not be free or simply enhance your Internet experience.
